Greater Grand Rapids Reads to Distribute 52,000 Free Books Thanks to a donation from Faith Alive Resources, a division of the Christian Reformed Church, Greater Grand Rapids Reads has received a donation of approximately 52,000 books. Some of these books deal with immigrant stories and some are based on specific books of the Bible. All books have some religious content.
Greater Grand Rapids Reads will distribute these books to churches, schools and non-profits that can use them in reading programs. Books are suitable for middle school children up through adult readers. Books will be distributed from 10 am until 4 pm on Thursday, January 17 at the GRPS Teacher Resource Center (Formerly Hillcrest School) at 1415 Lyon NE.
We are not limiting the number of books that an organization may take. It is first come, first served. However, organizations that want more than 500 books must register first by calling Fritz Crabb at 616-632-1001. |
