About Greater Grand Rapids Reads

Greater Grand Rapids Reads, a coalition of community leaders working to reduce illiteracy in Kent County, believes that literacy is the key to our community's quality of life, economic, self-sufficiency and family stability.

Mission Statement

We will increase literacy levels to improve the quality of life in our community by:

  • Providing resources and building capacity
  • Keeping the community informed
  • Advocating for literacy
  • Building partnerships
  • Evaluating our work and reporting progress
